  • one session down


    Sat., Feb. 19, 10:52 p.m. – Today is day three of receiving chemo, and that’s when the effects begin to be felt, or so they say.  Nothing much wrong yet; just an overall slightly cruddy feeling through the torso but no nausea, yet.  I do feel a little weaker now.  Probably the worst thing that I experience is that crappy “everything tastes bad” sensation.  I sure will be glad to get rid of that.  Once and for all.

    A walk through the desert sure does sound good right now.

  • gettin' closer...tonight, maybe?


    Zu just dropped by.  Said he wants to start chemotherapy TODAY.  He’s been waiting for Dr. Wolin to call him back, but we are both going to bail on him if he doesn’t call back.  Rather than going with Wolin's advice, we'll just go with Zu's.

    So Zu said he’d be back around 5 to talk some more and answer questions about side effects and drug schedules.



    2:20 p.m. – Nurse just came in and explained that she’d talked with Zu and Mohedin and tells me chemo will start tonight and that they’re going to move me to their oncology ward.  I hope the new wing was nurses as nice as the ones I’ve had here.

    I‘m feeling sick just thinking about this.

  • This just in


    Dr. Brainy got hold of Stacey, they talked, and they got on the same page. Now that they're able to contact each other and finally in some agreement, Stacey is willing to stay on the case and not give up on me.  Thank you both.  Thank you, God.

  • Sick of it all


    Stacey dumped me. So to speak.  She’s off my case now.  She’s just disgusted that no matter how many phone calls she can make, she just gets conflicting information or no information.  Out of frustration that has built up over weeks, she basically washed her hands of the whole matter.

    Thank you anyway, Stacey. You’ve helped me more than I have any right to ask anyone to help me.

  • All I have to do is dream


    Sat., Feb. 12 – 11:01 p.m. – Stacey had the sweetest dream last night, and she called me today to tell me about it and talk about a lot of things.  Just before waking up, she dreamed that I was in perfect health, standing and walking erect, energetic and robust.  I was urging her to go out for dinner with me (I’ve been trying to rope her into joining me for Vietnamese food).  She said the dream gave her a very “joyful” feeling.  I’m glad to hear that, fo her sake.  Thanks for caring about me one way or the other, Stacey.  You are a blessing

    One more day in Grossmont today, but one less day of pain and misery.  Less than before, though. Not much e-mail today, just a day to get through.  Almost done.
